Cheltenham Climate Changemakers: Empowering Communities for Climate Action
What is Climate Change Makers?
Cheltenham Climate Changemakers is an exciting peer-led learning journey launched in April 2023. A group of 11 local residents from diverse areas of Cheltenham is actively learning about climate change and creating impactful projects in their communities.
Our Journey:
This initiative builds on the success of the 2022 doughnut economics group. In collaboration with Civic Square in Ladywood, Birmingham, and the Doughnut Economics Action Lab, we trained 10 residents in Kate Raworth’s Doughnut Economics theories. Now, we’re extending our impact in Cheltenham, empowering residents to create positive change through climate action.
The Changemakers group is hosted by Planet Cheltenham and has been funded with match funding from Cheltenham Borough Council and Gloucestershire County Council
Join us on the journey of Climate Change Makers, where knowledge meets action for a sustainable future
